gooidev Connects with Ghana Via Former NFL Star Eddie George

gooidev, an American software development and marketing company, has launched its M connect program in Ghana

gooidev, an American software development and marketing company, has launched its M connect program in Ghana working closely with the Fever Relief Fund, which in part, provides medical supplies, equipment and information to clinics and hospitals. Former Ohio State and NFL star, Eddie George, has teamed up with the Fever Relief Fund and gooidev (http://www.gooidev.com), to help this important cause.

The Fever Relief Fund, established in Ghana, seeks to address eradicating malaria, managing and preventing the spread of HIV, and to reduce child mortality. It inspires and motivates youth to become involved in community activities, including sports, set goals and take responsibility for their own lives and neighborhoods.

Eddie George commented, “By endorsing and supporting the Fever Relief Fund, we’ve seen a tremendous transformation of health initiative and improvement of the quality of life in these rural areas.”

“It’s difficult to put into words just what the support of gooidev and humanitarians such as Eddie George means to the Fever Relief Fund,” Akwasi Oppong, founder of the Fever Relief Fund said. “There is a critical need to provide non-existent opportunities for our youth, while also accomplishing the vital goal of providing medical supplies in Ghana. Simply put, advancing the cause means saving lives.”

In the case of Ghana and other developing countries, gooidev has been aiding a wide range of communities in need of support.

“As we have been able to demonstrate in other markets, gooidev is supporting the critical efforts of the Fever Relief Fund through its SME platform, a grassroots incubation platform for young people whose dreams of entrepreneurship are very real and very attainable,” Paul N. Greenwood, gooidev CEO and chairman, said. “For Ghanaians, this is a Silicon Valley in the Cloud as we help indispensable organizations such as the Fever Relief Fund. The world is open for gooidev business.”

gooidev’s (http://www.gooidev.com), international footing will be supported by a strategic marketing and public relations campaign, driven by gooidev’s team of experts. gooidev is co-headquartered in Chennai, India and Des Moines, Iowa.

Oman Chamber of Commerce launch international partnership

Oman Connect offers businesses support in local, world markets

DES MOINES, Iowa (April 22, 2016)  The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and gooidev, American software development and marketing company, announced the launch of a new partnership to increase the international presence of Oman’s businesses and markets.

Their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) says OCCI has selected the Oman Connect platform for its Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) incubation platform. An initial 5,000 businesses are to be loaded onto the platform during 2016.

In total, the OCCI involves about 125,000 businesses in Oman, and the target after the initial phase is to make the platform available to them all.

The MOU says Oman Connect will be within gooidev’s M Connect, a merged social media platform and business incubator, to accelerate startups and support existing SMEs and new companies wishing to join the Oman marketplace. It has a strong international footing and companies will be supported with international marketing and P.R. resources.

Paul N. Greenwood, gooidev CEO and chairman, said, “Oman Connect will be a launch platform for businesses wishing to reach outside their own domestic markets. We can really put the SME’s on the world map and will be designing international marketing strategies for the Oman Chamber members. You can see new customers in the US and Europe having exposure to Omani based companies and products.

“This is a very exciting opportunity to showcase the country. We are aiming to tell this story on Wall Street: Oman is open for business.”

Chamber Board member Ahmed Abdul Kareem Al Hooti, who chairs OCCI’s committees on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and international relations, added, “Oman Connect compliments many of our existing initiatives. Their international perspective is a real opportunity for Chamber members to get a bite of the bigger global marketplace.” He added that the Chamber is expecting the companies to see exponential growth.

When mature, the program will have three levels of participation – Silver, Gold and Elite – each with great benefits, Hooti noted. All levels will include listings on the platform and in appropriate international marketing and public relations campaigns

gooidev Executive Conducts Business Analyst Workshop in Oman

Ibri College invites Jay Namboor to lead session for business technology students

IBRI, Sultanate of Oman (Dec. 3, 2015) Ibri College of Technology invited Jay Namboor, chief product officer of USA-based gooidev, to conduct a business analysis workshop and training session for its business technology students, said Junath Naseer Ahamed, coordinator of the Industry Link Committee in the College’s Department of Information Technology.

Junath said the program, “Business Analyst Resource Development,” focused on what a business analyst is and how to become one.

Namboor said business analysts gather, document and communicate a business’ requirements in clear, detailed user stories. gooidev’s IT business analysts work with its application development teams and business units to ensure IT solutions are developed and implemented to satisfy those requirements for clients.

Namboor noted “the college is excellent, the students are very interested, and the session was a learning experience for me as well.

“Junath and his colleagues — Prabu Arockiyaraj Ratnasabapathi, the head of the IT section, and Ibrahim Nasser Al Siyabi, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs – enthusiastically encouraged us to share our opportunities with their students.”

Namboor is on extended assignment in the region in response to a significant uptick in gooidev’s business opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa. He is providing client support as well as recruiting and training local talent for the app and web development company’s international team of specialists. “Ibri’s students fit with our requirements for new hires and interns in MENA,” he said.

Namboor built his foundation as a business analyst solving complex technology issues for Fortune 500 companies in manufacturing, financial services and digital media. He is based in gooidev’s headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, USA.

Ibri (http://www.ibrict.edu.om/) is one of seven colleges of technology operated under Oman’s Ministry of Manpower and directed by the Directorate General of Technological Education. It has departments of engineering, business and information technology and specialties in mechanics, electronics, human resources, marketing, finance, database, networking, internet and e-security and software engineering.

mygooi to Support Threads of Freedom & You

ToFu Empowers, Reintegrates Victims of Sex Trafficking in India

DES MOINES, Iowa (Oct. 15, 2015) Threads of Freedom & You (ToFu), a social enterprise that empowers victims of sex trafficking, creates positive futures for young women in southern India, said Paul N. Greenwood, CEO of Des Moines-based mygooi.com. He announced mygooi will be supporting ToFu’s efforts to acquaint people in and outside of India with the organization’s efforts.

ToFu (www.facebook.com/tofutribe), based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, trains its beneficiaries to face life with confidence and skills that remove them far from the degradation earlier circumstances forced them into, says Threads of Freedom founder and CEO Pritham Raja. Our mission is simple: We give trafficked women their lives back through meaningful employment and social support. ToF trains and employs rescued women in established manufacturing firms and collaborates with these firms to produce high quality clothing that we then sell. Our mission is simple: We give trafficked women their lives back through meaningful employment and social support. ToF trains and employs rescued women in established manufacturing firms and collaborates with these firms to produce high quality clothing that we then sell.

“Typically, our beneficiaries come from impoverished circumstances and families that did not support their choices,” said Raja. He gave as an example a 23-year-old woman from Bangalore he calls Dia (not her actual name).

“Because of her family’s financial condition, Dia sought work at a garment factory near her home. There she met a boy. They decided to marry, much to the chagrin of her parents who, in response, married her to another man. She lived with her new husband for six months before she ran away and wed her lover. After they had a child, he became negligent and hurtful, so she went back to her family, only to be rejected.

“Distraught, Dia attempted suicide and was rescued by her younger brother, who took her baby home. Not having the courage to face her family, she searched for work, was tricked and forced into prostitution for two years before being rescued by Mumbai police and sent to a rehabilitation center. After again being rejected by her family, which felt dishonored by her disobedience and eventual trafficking, however unwilling, she worked odd-jobs that paid very little for over a year.

“After joining ToF’s program, she has received training and secured a well-paying job that allows her to live independently.”

Raja noted that ToF doesn’t rescue women itself; instead it partners with rescue organizations and the Karnataka state Ministry of Women and Child Development to identify beneficiaries for its program.

“Our mission is simple,” he says. “We give trafficked women their lives back through meaningful employment and social support. We train and employ rescued women in established manufacturing firms and collaborate with these firms to produce high quality clothing that we sell. Profits from the salesOur mission is simple: We give trafficked women their lives back through meaningful employment and social support. mygooi is providing ToFu with web and social media pages, building video and digital conduits to people around the world interested in fighting sex trafficking.

“We very much appreciate mygooi’s volunteering its considerable communication and programming skills on Threads of Freedom’s behalf,” Raja said.

mygooi supports Compassion Charitable Trust

DES MOINES, Iowa (Sept. 21, 2015) Compassion Charitable Trust, a not-for-profit organization based in Theni, Tamil Nadu, India, offers much needed services to individuals severely in need of support, said Paul N. Greenwood, CEO of Des Moines-based mygooi.com. He announced that mygooi is donating technical and communications support to the charity.

“The Trust is doing great work in Theni for a range of people in dire straits,” Greenwood said. “mygooi is looking forward to helping its cause.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjJD1_QJtSg)

According to the Trust, it “aims at treating and offering a hospitable environment, food and care to mentally retarded or underdeveloped individuals, individuals prone to accidents and old agers who are abandoned by their families, unable to tend to their needs on their own and roaming aimlessly in the streets. We provide them with ample medical aid from the Government Medical college Hospital and help in their rehabilitation.”

A key supporter of the Trust, Sredhanea Ramkrishnan, who brought the organization to mygooi’s attention, said, “We were all born human , but how many of us live as one?

“I found living examples of fine humanity in those who run Compassion Charitable Trust. In an age when individuals feel burdened to render care to their old and sick parents, this couple has dedicated its lives to take care of almost 50 mentally deranged and physically unfit citizens of all ages who are abandoned by their families.

“When you first set eyes on another human being , what do you notice? The color of their eyes, skin, the brand of clothes they are wearing, the height of their heel, their tone? But these 50 people (at the Trust’s poor Lazarus Rehabilitation Centre) do not care for any such thing. All that is visible to them when they look at you is your heart and the love you are capable of giving them. I am more than happy to be playing a part in the lives of such amiable souls and to be associated with this Compassion Charitable Trust.”

The Trust (https://www.facebook.com/CompassionCharitableTrust) was established in 2011 with single minded dedication to provide help for the helpless in the form of food, healthcare and shelter, among other support services.

Referring to seniors among its care population, the Trust notes, “We aim to aid the elderly who have been deserted by their families. We are here to show that seniors, too, have their right to live with dignity. Gone are the days when the first thing that fades after 60 is dignity — even before the eye sight fades. To make them feel valued, we are on a mission to extend shoulders to those who carried the rhythm of hope for generations.”

mygooi is providing Compassion Charitable Trust with web and social media pages, building video and digital conduits to people around the world interested in helping the helpless.
