For the 82.4% of green-wearing, shamrock-toting St. Patrick’s Day fans out there, here’s a few fun facts you can whip out to impress your friends.

Approximately 33.3 million U.S. residents claimed Irish ancestry in 2013 when asked by the U.S. Census Bureau. This number was more than seven times the population of Ireland itself (4.6 million).

Irish is the nation’s second-most frequently reported European ancestry, behind German.

Approximately 13 million pints of Guinness will be consumed worldwide today according to WalletHub, which released a St. Patrick’s Day by the Numbers report this week.
