Who Is Making Money Off Your Luggage?

What do pennies, bobbi pins, and luggage have in common? You often don’t know where they’ve been, how they got there, and what to do with them once you find them laying around.

That’s where the Unclaimed Baggage Center (UBC) steps in. After each airline goes through a 3-month long extensive process to return lost luggage to its rightful owners, the rest of the items are sold to the UBC so that you and your friends can plan weekend shopping trips to check out the goods.

According to the company’s Instagram, UBC partners with Lions Club International to provide over 40,000 pairs of glasses and sunglasses to individuals in the US and abroad.

Now that’s as cool as an unclaimed pair of D&G shades.
